Abstract This document carries its own description: "Extracts from a file containing Directives with detailed Annexes. The Directives are mostly translated in full. The Annexes, owing to their length, are given mostly in the form of precis. The extracts are supplemented by C-126." The material included in the present document concerns the plans for the invasion of Poland and Hitler's objectives for the operation. The document is subdivided into smaller units, as follows: C-120 A ("Translation of a document signed by KEITEL"); C-120 B ("Translation of a document signed by HITLER"); C-120 D ("4. Annexe II contains the directives for Tall Weiss'"); C-120 K ("Translation of a document signed by HITLER"); C-120 L ("12. Precis of Annexe VI referred to in C-120 K"). This document is a typewritten carbon copy of good quality on stable paper. It is marked "Top Secret" on the first of its unnumbered pages and includes typewritten marginalia that were evidently handwritten on the German original in, respectively, green pencil, copying pencil, and ink. A marginal insertion to unit 120 D seems to be a translated quotation from the original German text.
