Abstract This document is an excerpted translation of Rosenberg's intellectual defense of the racist, anti-Semitic, anti-democratic premises of Nazi ideology. Essentially, the author's strategy involves blaming Germany's severe and very real problems, particularly its political disruptions and economic malaise, on the Jewish people within Germany and without; on the punitive terms of the treaties of Versailles and St. Germain; and on the democratic institutions of parliamentary representation and a free press. Given such premises, the remedies become inevitable: rejection of all persons and things held to be non-German, i.e. Jewish, or otherwise inimical to the German race; abrogation of the Versailles and St. Germain treaties; destruction of the parliamentary system and censorship of the press. Rosenberg exploits this racist ideology and a race-based interpretation of human history and political necessities to justify the core principles, the 25 theses, of the Nazi Party, which he quotes in didactic fashion throughout his apologia. This document is a typewritten copy.
