Charles Mayhew Carpenter papers include personal and business correspondence,
1910-1918, including letters from his estranged wife Mary.
Oversized items include DeRidder family slave indentures, commissions, officers' roll
of Col. Walter DeRidder's Regiment, New York State Militia; Abiel W. Mayhew
commission, Columbia Light Infantry, 1809; certificates and diplomas.
Bound volumes include Catherine S. DeRidder travel diary, 1877; Eloise Wickham
