Includesassociation records, 1923-1965, which concern internal operations, files, and regional and board of directors meetings (includes one tape recording of the 1963 annual meeting); procedural files, 1912-1967, which cover topics such as classification, demurrage, freight rates, foreign tariffs, advertising, and railroad financing; active member files, 1913-1966, including correspondence, reports and financial data on cases before the Interstate Commerce Commission, for which the Association often acted as statutory agent and legal counsel for its members; and non- member and inactive member files, 1912-1964, including abandonments or compensation claims against the U.S. under provisions of the Transportation Act of 1920.
