Abstract:: Papers of E.I. White and his family consist
largely of correspondence, leases and other legal agreements, accounts,
receipts, inventories, surveys, and other items pertaining to the acquisition
of property for the Onondaga Golf and Country Club and to such business matters
as purchases of additional land, lease renewals, water supply, railroad
right-of-way, and insurance (1899-1919); papers pertaining to the management of
the White Farm at Fayetteville (1905-1942); correspondence and other items
relating to the Memorial Prize in Oratory established at Syracuse University in
honor of Horace Keep White (1916); newspaper clippings, pamphlets, and other
printed material.
