ORGANIZATIONAL HISTORY
The Community, Food & Agriculture Program (CFAP) was launched as
the Cornell Farming Alterntatives Program in 1986, which focused on research,
training and outreach materials designed to help struggling dairy farmers
transition to more diverse and profitable agricultural enterprises. In 2002 the
program changed its name to CFAP and remained committed to the mission of
sustaining farms and communities in New York State and the Northeast. The
program ended in 2006.
